Project title: “Monitoring and improving the implementation of gender-responsive budgeting and gender policies in Elbasan Municipality”.
Donor: Institute for Democracy and Mediation with European Union funds.
Period of implementation: 8 months (1 May – 31 December 2024).
Coverage: Elbasan Municipality.
Project objective: Improving policies and strengthening support mechanisms for women and girls in Elbasan Municipality.
Primary beneficiaries of the project:
- Women and girls living in Elbasan Municipality;
- Women and girls members of Elbasan Municipality Council.
Specifically, the project is designed based on two components:
1) Monitoring the implementation of gender budgeting, policies and mechanisms for the protection of women and girls in Elbasan Municipality, with a special focus on women and girls living in vulnerable conditions;
2) Increasing the participation and influence of women and girls in the improvement of local policies in their support.
